JFJ Requests Copy of CDA Final Report

Monday, August 25, 2014, Kingston, Jamaica. Jamaicans for Justice (JFJ) has taken note of news reports that the Ministry of Youth has received a final report on a probe into its programme implemented in six private children’s homes.

JFJ has written to the Ministry requesting a copy of this report and looks forward to receiving a copy for review.

We question, however, how the report could be complete without an interview with or request for information from JFJ itself, as the organization that developed and delivered the programme. There is no record of any request – either for an interview/meeting or for information – having been made to the organization.

The Board of JFJ stands ready to engage on the issue and to respond at any opportunity that is afforded it.
