The threat of the COVID19 virus instigated the Government of Jamaica's declaration of the entire island as a "disaster area" on March 13, 2020. The Disaster Risk Management (Enforcement Measures) Order was proclaimed and gazetted, in accordance with S. 26 of The Disaster Risk Management Act, 2015.
Since, the Order has been revised and two amendments made on March 24, 2020 and March 31, 2020, respectively. The most recent Order can be referred to as The Disaster Risk Management (Enforcement Measures) (No.2) Amendment (No.2).
